Energy efficient
As it's possible for our timber windows to achieve U-values of just 0.9 W/m2k, you can enjoy a home that feels warmer throughout the year.
Timber has a rich, textured appearance. It adds depth to any location and draws the eye in a positive way. As the traditional window-building material, timber windows inevitably look great on the period homes of Buckinghamshire. However, their range of styles and finishes helps them to blend in seamlessly with modern styles properties too.
In addition to this, timber is a completely natural, ultra-durable material. If maintained properly, they can last for several decades. This makes it the ideal option for homeowners who want their replacement windows to have a positive impact on the environment.
Timber is also an excellent insulator. Timber window frames can achieve U-values as staggeringly low as 0.9 W/m2k. With energy bills rising, a return to traditional timber could be what saves Buckinghamshire homeowners heaps of money. Retaining heat and keeping your home warm and comfortable is all in a day’s work for our timber windows.

Indeed we do. Here at Premier Windows, all our timber windows are double glazed as standard. So, you can expect them to trap plenty of heat in your home, leaving it warm and cosy and your energy bill nice and low.
As we use Planitherm glass for our double-glazed units, which has a special layer that reflects heat back inside the home, you can expect an even better thermal performance than you get from standard double glazing. We also have triple glazing available.

To keep them clean, all that’s required is the occasional wipe-down with warm, soapy water. It’s important that the detergent used is mild, and that the cloth is only damp. If it’s dripping wet, water could get into the grains.
More complex timber treatments are only necessary once every decade or so and will not have an impact on your day-to-day life.
